The Post-graduate Diploma in Information Technology (PG-DIT) is a self-financing course and is of one year duration, comprising two semesters. 

The objectives of the course are:

  • To make the students competent in using IT gadgets for the processing and retrieval of information

  • To make the students aware of the automated information retrieval systems functioning in the country and abroad

  •  To equip the students with the necessary skills to automate libraries and information centers and to manage automated systems

Eligibility for Admission

The minimum qualification for admission to the PG-DIT course is a pass in the B L I Sc degree of the University of Kerala or a degree recognized as equivalent to it. The total number of seats is 10. Admission procedure is the same as that of the M L I Sc degree course.
