The Part-time M L I Sc course is aimed primarily at practicing librarians and information professionals. However, fresh candidates are also eligible for admission. Classes are held from 5 p m to 8 p m on all working days. Duration of the course will be till the completion of the classes and assignments prescribed as per the credit system. The course is a self financing one and the fee per semester at present is Rs 7000/.  

Eligibility for Admission

The minimum qualification for admission is a second class B.L.I.Sc. Degree of the University of Kerala or a degree recognised as equivalent thereto with not less than 50% marks. Relaxation in the minimum marks is allowed in the case of candidates belonging to Schduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities, as per the Government rules in force from time to time. Weightage marks are given for additional Post-graduate and research qualifications. Ranking mark for admission is computed by adding the percentage of marks secured for the qualifying B L I Sc degree examination and weightage marks eligible.

 Number of Seats

The number of seats is 12.  Reservation of seats for SC/ST and OBC candidates are provided as per the admission rules of the University. In the absence of eligible candidates for the reserved seats, they will be treated as open.
